NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR

ABINGER PARISH COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the said Parish.

An election will be held if, by 17th March 2025 a written notice of a request for an election is given to the Clerk and Chief Executive, Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Dorking RH4 1SJ by TEN local government electors of the parish.

If an election is called, it will take place as soon as practicable and no later than 2nd June 2025

If no request is made for an election the Parish Council will proceed to fill the vacancy and persons interested should notify the Clerk to the Parish Council.
